Oxigen has signed a sponsorship deal with renowned sports psychologist, Dr Jannie Botha. Effective immediately, Botha will be representing the brand communications and sponsorship agency, as their official brand ambassador.
The cooperation will affect all of Oxigen’s national and regional communication campaigns. Dr Botha is already very familiar with the company having consulted with Oxigen on various aspects of business psychology and performance. Dr Botha works with companies in South Africa and global clients. His passion is working with companies and universities and he has previously worked with clients that include individual sportsmen, companies such as ABSA, Old Mutual and Sanlam, and universities across the country.
“Dr Botha is an exceptional motivational speaker and psychologist with a wide network of industry contacts. He manages to effortlessly help individuals and companies combine top performance with efficiency and positive thinking. These are precisely the qualities that are reflected in Oxigen’s service to our clients”, LJ Swart, Founder of Oxigen, explained in today’s introduction of the partnership. According to Swart, a decision was made to add Dr Botha as one of Oxigen’s brand ambassadors based on the great fit with regards to their sponsorships division as well as his knowledge in new business development.
Swart commented that operating in the sponsorship management and brand positioning space, means that the Oxigen team knows what it means to find the right fit. “We are very meticulous on who we choose to partner with as we have a clear vision for the business and business growth. Operating in both the corporate space and sport space exactly as Oxigen does, Dr Botha was a perfect fit.”
For Oxigen, the choice of Dr Botha as brand ambassador and business development consultant, extends its network and strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to providing cost effective and innovative marketing support to South African firms. “In terms of what we stand for and the ways in which we serve our clients and strengthen their respective businesses, Dr Botha identifies with our brand promise and understands what it means for our clients. I feel that he will do an excellent job of conveying it to all current and potential clients,” says Swart.
Dr Botha said that he was excited to be representing Oxigen and that he looked forward to interacting with the Oxigen team and to seeing their work up close. “The process from initially meeting a client to working with them on an on-going basis and seeing the results of a campaign is something I look forward to seeing up close. Seeing a client’s happiness at the tangible difference that has made to their business is inspiring!”
Oxigen’s goal is to provide brand communications, sponsorship management and publicity services to help local companies extend their footprint and grow their business. The company partners exclusively with clients who are committed to uplifting South Africa, contributing to job creation or providing environmentally sustainable products and services.
“We are fully committed to these activities for the long term. We will be using Dr Botha’s endorsement for branding collateral, business culture coaching and structure consultancy – and more importantly, he will play a pivotal role in adding value for our already strong portfolio of clients. This is directly in line with our current business strategy and we are excited to see where this partnership will take us,” Swart concludes.
