Pretoria, 31 May 2018: Aesthetic Lab, a medical aesthetic clinic, has officially opened its Pretoria branch. In keeping with its philosophy, it offers patients the most advanced treatments and best equipment in medical aesthetic procedures with a major difference – an all-encompassing, individualised and patient-centric approach that focuses on face, figure and vigour in a beautiful, serene environment.
Dr Chris Giezing and Ms Heleen Marx have partnered for over six years to develop the advanced set of treatments offered at the Aesthetic Lab such as: neuromodulators; cosmetic fillers for facial lines and wrinkles, skin rejuvenation and resurfacing for a younger appearance; advanced micro-needling; non-surgical eyelid correction; thread lifting; skin boosting and tightening treatments; cellulite reduction; carboxy therapy for scarred skin; treatment of dark eye circles, rosacea, spider veins and cellulite; vaginal rejuvenation; dermaplaning; highly advanced hair loss solutions as well as medically supervised, specialist weight loss solutions and wellness treatments. Most of the procedures offered at Aesthetic Lab are known as “lunchtime procedures” as they can be administered within a quick timeframe and most require no downtime for recovery.
“We take the time to counsel and educate our patients so that they feel comfortable and take advantage of the personal guidance we provide them through their wellness journey. As Medical Director, I am confident that each treatment we offer provides the highest level of results possible today,” said Dr Giezing.
The new Pretoria clinic enhances the Aesthetic Lab’s national footprint beyond its existing branches in Bloemfontein and George.
“I am so excited to be able to offer our patients in Pretoria the latest technology in combination with the most advanced medical aesthetic skin treatments available. As a busy, working woman, I truly understand the needs of my patients. We’re real women who want to look and feel great,” enthused Ms Marx.
Dr Chris Giezing has been passionately involved in medical aesthetics since 2000. He opened one of the first fully-fledged aesthetic clinics in South Africa in 2004 and has since been striving to develop a model for aesthetic medicine as an emerging field. He is a regular speaker at both local and international conferences and writes for various industry-related publications. Dr Giezing is one of the founder members of the AAMSSA (The Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa) as well as the Allergan Academy (Allergan Medical Institute). He is also the founder and director of Medskills which provides theoretical and hands-on short courses to medical and dental practitioners in aspects relevant to aesthetic and anti-aging medicine.
Ms Heleen Marx is a qualified somatologist with an international somatology diploma along with CIDESCO and ITEC esthéticienne international diplomas. She has well over 21 years of experience as a medical aesthetic practitioner under her belt. “To me, skin care is about striking the balance between correction and prevention. I like to build long-term relationships with all of my patients and I take great pride in educating them so that they understand their skin and can become an active participant in caring for it,” says Heleen.
