Dr Chris Giezing has been passionately involved in medical aesthetics since 2000. He opened one of the first fully-fledged aesthetic clinics in South Africa in 2004 and has since been striving to develop a model for aesthetic medicine as an emerging field. He is a regular speaker at both local and international conferences and writes for various industry-related publications. Dr Giezing is one of the founder members of the AAMSSA (The Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa) as well as the Allergan Academy (Allergan Medical Institute). He is also the founder and director of Medskills which provides theoretical and hands-on short courses to medical and dental practitioners in aspects relevant to aesthetic and anti-aging medicine.
Ms Heleen Marx is a qualified somatologist with an international somatology diploma along with CIDESCO and ITEC esthéticienne international diplomas. She has well over 21 years of experience as a medical aesthetic practitioner under her belt. “To me, skin care is about striking the balance between correction and prevention. I like to build long-term relationships with all of my patients and I take great pride in educating them so that they understand their skin and can become an active participant in caring for it,” says Heleen.
